We love Bubbee’s Scripture Set!

I cannot say enough good things about this scripture series! My son got his in the mail and read through the entire book in 2 days! Once he finished, he came home the next day and wanted to read it all over again. We now read a story at bedtime and watch the corresponding video that goes along with it. My kids are 8, 3, and 2, and they all love this series! It’s been amazing as a parent to see my kids so excited about learning God’s word!

Unfortunately, this set just wasn’t a hit for us. My 5-year-old was excited about the surprise toys that came with it, but the actual book never really held his attention.

We read two stories together every night, and he genuinely loves books. We’ve collected a home library of more than 200 books since he was born, including many Christian children’s books that he asks to read over and over. His favorite has been The Jesus Storybook Bible, so I was really hoping this would become another fun way for us to learn about Scripture together.

Instead, he never asked for this one at bedtime and wasn’t particularly interested when I suggested it. We did finish the entire book because I wanted to give it a fair chance, but once we finished, I decided to pass it along to another family who may enjoy it more.

That actually says quite a bit for us because giving away his books is not something we normally do. We keep almost everything and reread favorites regularly.

The surprise-toy concept caught his attention, but for us, the Scripture/story portion didn’t have the same engaging quality as many of the other Christian children’s books we own. I really wanted to love this set, but unfortunately it just wasn’t worth it for our family.
